madden 22

the cover of madden 22

Madden 22 is a game about football and has a whole series. Madden 22 was released August 20, 2021. The Madden series has been around since 1989. Madden 22 is just like the other games but tries to fix the mistakes they had in the other games. One of the game modes of Madden 22 is called franchise. There are 32 teams in the game. What you do there is pick a team of your choice and try to take your team to the superbowl. While on the journey of trying to win the superbowl you have to resign your players and take the role of coaching and playing. Some other game modes are MUT, Superstar KO, exhibition, and face of the franchise. The Madden history has a lot of background to how it has been a good sports series through the years. It started back in 1989 with a man named John Madden who was a coach then an announcer. The Madden games were made by sega in 1990 but then In 1991 they moved to nintendo. The actual company that helped John make it is Electronic Arts. The name was changed to Madden NFL in 1993, then they changed to putting numbers throughout the changes of games like Madden 21 changed to Madden 22 after the year. Then it switched to yearly releases after each NFL season. The good thing about so far is that it tries to add stuff every week and updates the rosters of teams when teams rosters look different by each week. The worst part about it is when the games come out they are usually really glitchy through the whole year, but maybe they will fix it and only last through the beginning of the Madden 22 game. The game is a mixture of good and bad so far but it should get better over time.

Toy review: The Screaming Rubber Chicken is Glorious

The classic screaming rubber chicken from Proplay is a captivating object. One’s ears will be blessed to hear its melodious scream. The chicken has the most delightful vibrant yellow color with a thrashing red for the details. Two of the most dominant species love this object. The human rulers of the earth find simpleminded joy in this object, but the dog ruler of men able to control them under their noses find ghastly joy out of the scream of the chicken, reminding them of their prey’s cries for help. The product that I had was magnificent with the creators’ materialistic values. It will last you almost a lifetime if used properly! You may be wondering what the uses are for this object, though if you are interested in buying it for yourself then you can do any of the following: make music, play, or use it as a weapon. However if you want to buy it as a cute, innocent squeaky toy for your dog bear this in mind: every time your dog plays with the toy he becomes more of an evil psychotic being craving and even being ecstatic over the mere copy of a poor soul’s cries for help. But with that in mind, dogs absolutely love it 10/10 for both humans and dogs! Although, the scream of the chicken may remind some of the darkness in the world, one’s own battles, the cruelty of life and death itself! But the scream of the chicken may be melodious to some, providing simplistic serotonin. Not to mention its amazing figure, some may only be privileged to use it as home decor. But if you have a deep conflict within whether you should buy this product, I say go for it because of its magnificent simplicity and last but not least it’s melodious scream. So I must say this product is yet another 10/10 must buy.

2021 Ford F-150

Announcement people who like the Ford F-150 there is a new one out now. The new 2021 Ford F-150 is an amazing vehicle. I have always wanted one, and I have heard good things about it. I have one, everyone in my family owns Fords, and I know Ray. Yes, they do have some minor problems, but nothing really bad.  Ford is the best brand of truck also because I have one, and it’s just simply amazing. The Ford F-150 offers no fewer than six powerraits including hybrid for the first time. They “are” to up to 14,000 pounds. It’s available with multiple body styles and bed lengths. Ford started producing trucks in 1917 and has made so many trucks up to this day. As legend goes with the truck rolling out just as the U.S. was recovering from a major fuel crisis, F-150 was in order to somehow circumvent emissions restrictions by being categorized in the heavy duty truck class. The play proved to be successful, F-150’s didn’t need to have catalytic converters, smog pumps, or other parts and they could still burn regular leaded gasoline. F-150’s heavier suspension made it about one inch taller It’s a good truck and the number one selling truck, it has a few minor problems. The newest generation joins a long legacy of full-size ford rigs.. My final judgement on the Ford F-150 is that it’s an amazing truck besides a few minor problems. They started making trucks in 1917 and to this day they are the number one best selling trucks. Some objectives to describe the Ford F-150 is loud, long, fantastic, nice, looking, and best trucks.

Why Guilty Gear Strive Is Fighting Game Of The Year

Guilty Gear Strive’s roster of playable characters.

Game Review: Guilty Gear Strive
Year Released: 6/11/21 Available On: PS4 and PC

Guilty Gear has got to be one of the best fighting games I have played this year. The level of quality put into the game is insane. The visuals, music and story, to the mechanics itself shows how much love and effort was put into it. The series itself got its start during the 90’s by the lead developer Daisuke Ishiwatari within the company of Arc Systems. Guilty Gear Strive will be the conclusion of the series, more specifically the main character, Sol Badguy’s story. Sol Badguy within the story will be going toe to toe with the long time main villain That Man.

Guilty Gear’s music quality is outstanding. Daisuke Ishiwatari also created the music with the series, making it very clear that he is talented in both making music and games. Each track has an amazing amount of quality in it with a variety of instruments such as guitars, piano, and drums. The music goes for an American rock/metal theme and it just doesn’t miss. I’ve never been more hooked to a fighting game’s soundtrack than that of Guilty Gear Strive. Every single song in the game is incredibly memorable and can easily get stuck in your head.

The gameplay is incredibly good. Each character from the base game roster of 15 characters all play entirely different from one another. None of them feel the same at all and it really helps enhance the experience of the game. Each character also has their own unique fighting style. The mechanics themselves enhance the gameplay even more with Roman Cancels and Burst. Roman Cancels allow you to cancel an attack to extend a combo. This can make some combos incredibly large. The burst mechanic allows you to build up your Tension which helps you pull off special attacks.

The game’s visuals are outstanding. Sure you’ll hear that about most games but Guilty Gear is different. The game is done in 3D animation but made purposely to look 2D going as far as to even add purposeful animation flaws you would see in 2D animation. The amount of details put into how the game looks is awesome and it’s easily one of the best looking games of this year.

Guilty Gear Strive is one of the best fighting games I’ve played but it does have a few complaints. The roster of available playable characters without DLC isn’t the largest. It’s also one of the more simpler Guilty Gear games, leaving combo potential to be not nearly as great as it was in the older games. Despite the game’s flaws I highly recommend this game as it is so much fun and it’s so addicting to land a huge combo.

Review: Soaky Mountain is a Great Place to Visit

Soaky Mountain Water Park pictured above

Title: Soaky Mountain Waterpark

Owned by: Wilderness at the Smokies

Opened: Summer 2020

Location: Sevierville, TN

Soaky Mountain Waterpark is the newest aquatic attraction in Sevierville. Built in 2020, this 90 million dollar project covers 50 acres, and is adjacent to “Wilderness at the Smokies” (WATS). Soaky Mountain is also owned by WATS. I have visited Soaky Mountain multiple times throughout this summer. A one day ticket is $40 per person, or a season pass is $90 per person. This waterpark is very fun, and they have things for families of all ages. They have slides with large thrills, medium thrills, and small slides for the little ones. They also have the best lazy river I have ever seen, and a wave pool with very large waves. Soaky Mountain also serves very good food and desserts at different spots throughout the park. Although this food is good, it is a bit overpriced. The attractions were all very fun, but the most important thing is safety. All of the lifeguards constantly watch the water, and make sure no one is drowning. All of the staff ensures safety is the number one priority. The staff also know what they are doing. Anytime I have a question, the staff always knows where something is, how something works, etc. However, another problem I have run into is rain delays. Every waterpark has different policies when it comes to rain delays. Rain happens, and Soaky needs to make it clear that they give no refunds for rain delays. The rule used to be if the park was closed for 90+ minutes, they closed for the day, and gave rain checks. However, the rule apparently changed, and they no longer give rain checks for rain delays at all. The attractions were great, and the food was good, with hard working staff, but there are a few things that they can do to make it better. This is a new waterpark, so they still have time to work these things out. 4 out of 5 stars.

Review: Mixed feelings on the new Conjuring movie, The Devil Made Me Do It.

Ed and Lorraine warren

Title: The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

Director: Micheal Chaves

Starring: Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson

Studio: New Line Cinema, Atomic Monster Productions, The Safran Company, Atomic Monster

Release Date: June 4, 2021

Available: HBO Max

The new Conjuring movie – The Devil Made Me Do It, has a lot of uncertainties. Some of the events that are presented in the movie are dull and make you lose interest but some other parts are very exciting and engaging moments. Overall the movie is boring but has an astounding plotline and some exciting features. This is the third Conjuring movie that was slowly produced by the film writers who wanted to make this movie special since everyone liked the first and second conjuring movies. The third movie would be based on a kid’s possession by an unknown spirit. Ed and Lorraine Warren, a married couple that will be partaking to help figure out how to help this child and his family. The actors who are presented in the movie are amazing and fit their character descriptions and their character emotions perfectly. In general, it’s not a bad movie to watch but I prefer the first and second conjuring more than the third Conjuring. The movie has many thrills and excitement but some parts are boring and cause some puzzlement during the movie. For example, when the witch is choosing her victims there wasn’t any connection to why she chose those victims to sacrifice. They were two different types of people and a huge age gap. It’s not as scary as the previews made it look. It’s just a movie that focuses more on the story plot-line than the jump-up scared factor that I was looking for. When watching these types of movies I wanna have jump scares. This movie does have startlement and frightful events that occur but some events that do occur made me lose interest and caused me to get confused along the way. It is mainly a half and half movie that is good to watch but it is also just lacking in some features that the first and second conjuring movie present. For example scariness, frantic, surprises, and daunting.

Video Game Review: SUPERHOT- The game Where Time only Moves When You Do.

Title: SUPERHOT Franchise

Director: Superhot Team

Release Date: February 25 2016

Available: Windows, Mac, Xbox, Ps4, Oculus Quest, and Nintendo Switch

A game where time only moves at your will, with many weapons at your disposal, your objective is to survive. SUPERHOT is a game of strategy, action, and surprises. The original 2016 installment exceeded expectations in a completely new way, and its continuation: SUPERHOT: Mind Control Delete takes this already thought-provoking story and expands on it. I think everything from the innovative play style of the game, to the intricate, yet tiny world that it has built is near perfect. Being the Superhot Team’s first and only project, it is extremely impressive. It’s unlike any other game I’ve played; its unique gameplay paired with its simplistic, yet aesthetically pleasing visuals, make for a captivating experience that only serves to enhance the intrigue of the story. And aside from the gameplay itself, the origins of it are even more impressive. The original prototype for the game [The FPS where time moves only when you move] was birthed from a 2013 game jam in only 1 week! Its purpose was a submission for the 7 day fps challenge, in which developers would try to create an interesting game in only 7 days. After this challenge, the game was such a hit that the Superhot team created a kickstarter for its expansion into a full game. And as you may know the full game was made a reality in late February 2016, followed soon after by its VR adaptation, and most recently, It’s expansion/continuation, SUPERHOT: Mind Control Delete; This new installation adds new weapons, more enemies, and more insight into the SUPERHOT world. And without giving too much away, if you are interested in meta fiction or ARG, this game should pique your interest. And while I have touched on the things I find appealing about this game, There are some things that I feel could be improved. For one, while the mechanics are very unique and fun to play around with, the movement can seem to get repetitive towards the later levels; this issue doesn’t seem to be that important, as the later levels are more meant to focus on the story and the world around you, as opposed to just following simple instructions as the first half is. Another thing I feel could use work (while very nit picky) is the name. It’s a bit difficult having to quickly jump to clarify that the game I’m playing is only coincidentally named SUPERHOT. As my parents’ minds usually jump to the worst when they hear me talking about it. And so, this story: told with unique controls and visuals, is near perfect in most ways, as the only negatives I have to say about it are minute ones. And Its ways of coming about only further it’s impressiveness. So anyone who enjoys things such as The Matrix, or Marvel’s LOKI, may wish to check this game out, if not for the story, then even to just enjoy the game-play.

Movie Review: Shang-Chi Continues the Marvel Legacy

Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Director: Destin Daniel Cretton

Starring: Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Meng’er Zhang

Studio Production: Marvel Studios, Walt Disney Pictures

Release Date: September 3, 2021

Available: exclusively in theatres

Spectacular martial arts, powerful CGI effects, and meaningful messages about loyalty and friendship are all to be expected at Marvel’s newly released Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. With big shoes to fill following the wrap up of the Avengers series, Shang-Chi did not disappoint at the box office. Even with no prior knowledge on the character Shang-Chi, there is no doubt that the energy and anticipation of the Shang-Chi storyline have the potential to carry the Marvel franchise and keep the fans satisfied, post Avengers. The movie itself begins as Shang-Chi, a seemingly normal guy is visited by his past, being pulled back into family matters he once tried to escape. With the help of his best friend and some unlikely allies, he unlocks his inner strength to confront his father (the previous Marvel villain: the Mandarin). They all soon realise the power of the Ten Rings, owned by Shang-Chi’s father, is much more than the legend entails. This action-filled hero story stays true to Marvel’s reputation for emphasizing the relationship between sacrifice and victory. Without knowing much about the storyline previous to seeing the movie, watching it was still an enjoyable and entertaining experience. The character Shang-Chi first debuted in 1973 in the comic “Special Marvel Edition” No. 15, published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Jim Starlin and Steve Englehar. Shang-Chi eventually starred in his own comic series until the early 1980’s. The movie rendition was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, best known for directing movies like The Glass Castle (2017) and Just Mercy (2019). The lead role, Shang-Chi himself, is played by Simu Liu. While he has been active in his career since 2011, this is Liu’s first large leading role. The lead supporting character of the film is played by actress and rapper Awkwafina. She has starred in movies such as Oceans Eight (2018), Crazy Rich Asians (2018), Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2019), and is set to be cast in the 2022 live action The Little Mermaid. The cast of Shang-Chi also includes Ben Kingsley and Florian Munteanu both as other supporting characters. With a combination of well known actors and new faces in the industry, the casting for Shang-Chi created an overall very successful chemistry between the characters, and it was shown on screen. One of the most impactful aspects of this movie was the basis of Chinese cultural heritage and recognition it brought to the Marvel Universe, adding to the diversity of the Marvel heroes. This contrast to the usual American based hero was refreshing and the respectful energy around Chinese culture was enlightening. Along with the great cultural aspects, there were many great messages to take away from the film including, loyalty to the family you choose, the irrelevance of material value in the grand scheme of things, and how there is often a deeper meaning to life. One of the only downfalls to the film is that it has a 2 hour and 13 minute running time, so it does take a while. Staying true to the Marvel Universe, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a well-rounded movie with a great balance of action, comedy and meaningful underlying messages, making it well worth the time and money to see it in theatres.

Movie Review: Cruella is a Cinematic Masterpiece.

Cruella | Disney Movies

Title: Cruella

Director: Craig Gillespie

Starring: Emma Stone and Emma Thompson

Studio: Walt Disney Pictures

Release Date: May 28, 2021

Available: DVD, Blu-Ray, Disney + (subscription), Apple TV, Youtube TV, Amazon Prime Video, Vudu

Are you interested in a dark film with comedic edge? Perhaps one with an all-star cast? Or maybe you’re more interested in a movie with a criminal mastermind? Then add this to your watchlist; Cruella has all that and more. As an incredibly deep movie, Cruella has all the pieces essential to a cinematic masterpiece. Cruella is a backstory film on the 101 Dalmatians villain, Cruella De Vil. The piece focuses on De Vil’s descent into madness after the discovery that her boss murdered her mother. Cruella’s sole purpose is to avenge this murder and bring the end of her now nemesis, The Baroness. This movie showcases many themes that still apply to today and shows the negative side of self discovery. Directed by Australian-American director Craig Gillespie, the film showcases a variety of all-star actors. Starring Emma Stone as Cruella and Emma Thompson as the Baroness, two award winning actresses, the film has developed characters that enhance the tone of the piece. Stone is most well known for her parts in The Help and La La Land. The 62 year old Thompson is most well known for her parts in Sense and Sensibility and Love Actually. Both actresses have won Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards. Their platonic chemistry enhances their character’s relationship in the film. Their similarities in the film also aids in the edge of the movie. Both characters have their own insanity and many morals are reflected in it. Cruella’s descent into madness preaches against the dangers of vengeance and the result of lying to both yourself and to those who care for you. However, the film does slack in some ways. For instance, there is the introduction of the characters Artie and John, friends of Cruella’s, that are not in the dalmations film. What happened to these characters? We don’t really know by the end of the film. On a lighter note, the film does properly introduce the characters Anita and Roger from the Dalmations franchise. All in all, the film is well developed and deserves every award that is sure to head its way.

Four and ½ stars.

Review: Ryan Reynolds Newest Installment

Title: Free Guy

Director: Shawn Levy

Starring: Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Taika Waititi, Joe Keery, and Lil Rel Howery

Studio: 20th Century Studios

Release Date: August 13, 2021

Available: In theatres

The movie “Free Guy,” released in August of 2021, follows a NPC (Ryan Reynolds) named Blue shirt Guy in a video game. Guy is not aware that he is inside of a video game, but gradually begins to think for himself and breaks out of the constant loop he lives in. It all started when he came in contact with a player in the game- Molotov Girl. They then team up to try to take down the creator of the game. “Free Guy” was directed by Shawn Levy who has directed other films such as “Night at the Museum” and the movie’s sequels. He also helped in the direction of the popular Netflix original series: Stranger Things. The movie originally finished production back in 2019 but the release was pushed back due to issues with Covid-19. Shawn Levy first got the script 5 years ago and stated that he wanted to make an action-comedy that takes his video game concept into a more broadly acceptable area of how people, as individuals, deal with empowerment.

This latest Ryan Reynolds installment was unexpectedly fun and lovable. The pacing in this film was really well done and nothing happened too fast nor too slow. The movie had some unexpected cameos from various famous youtubers and twitch streamers such as: Ninja, Pokimane, Lazarbeam, Jacksepticeye, and DanTDM, which really made the movie what it was. It was a delight to watch these famous streamers interact with the audience as the events of the movie unfold. The movie had outstanding references to other movie and game franchises such as: Marvel, Star Wars, Fortnite, etc. The movie had the perfect blend of comicality and emotional scenes, especially in the third act of the film, towards the finale. All of the cast members also had amazing chemistry and worked well together. However, this movie was really goofy and had some moments with weird looking CGI. If you are someone who enjoys movies with more serious tones then this might not be the movie for you. This movie will not go down as the one of the best movies of all time; however, the goofiness was tasteful and definitely made it a delightful and entertaining watch.
