Do you like witchy, mysterious puzzles stories? If so then you’ll definitely enjoy watching WandaVision. Marvel Studios’ Disney+ original, WandaVision dawned upon me as something I just needed to watch because I wanted to know more about Marvel characters, Wanda and Vision, and every Friday when a new episode would release, I would be so excited to get home and piece together more of the puzzle. When the puzzle was finally pieced together, the whole show just made so much sense, and the whole experience just felt so otherworldly for me and it was very highly enjoyable to watch.

WandaVision is created by Marvel Studios and is a Disney+ original series that starts the beginning of more Disney+ original Marvel Studios’ shows that will link together in upcoming Marvel movies. The plotline takes place right after Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame. WandaVision grabbed a whole bunch of attention to Marvel, dragging more fans into the already large fan base.

WandaVision begins with Wanda and Vision arriving as newlywed super-powered beings, in a perfect, little, 1950s-1960s sitcom-like neighborhood with well-mannered neighbors, almost like actors, who communicate with each other and their community. But time periods change almost every day, while evil and greed seep closer and closer to destroy their perfect reality together.

There are many reasons why it is such a good show, but I think its focus on family sends a strong message about why family is important and the sacrifices that come along with having a family. In WandaVision, Wanda and Vision create a little family together, and throughout the whole show she has a strong protective side in protecting Vision, and her two sons Billy and Tommy, and most importantly their perfect reality together. Also, a notable character is Monica Rambeau, she is a S.W.O.R.D agent who kind of ditches the S.W.O.R.D assignment to help Wanda because she knows why Wanda let her into Wanda’s reality, and she wants to help her because she knows what it’s like to lose family and not be able to bring them back. I think a lot of people need to hear this message because tons of people deal with the loss of family at some point in their life.
My final thoughts on this topic are that WandaVision is one of the best shows I’ve watched so far and I highly recommend it to everyone, especially Marvel fans. It is a bit of a difficult puzzle to piece together if you’re not good at piecing clues together or you are not a Marvel fan, but this show is a 10 out of 10 in my opinion, it is also very enjoyable and fun to watch with loved ones.

Why Carter High should have a JROTC program

I think Carter high should have  a JROTC class because students  can build skills such as leadership, self-confidence and discipline – qualities that are necessary to thrive in any career. Personal skills are also emphasized: health, nutrition and financial management and I think these would be great qualities for Carter high school.

In a JROTC class, students can build skills such as leadership, self-confidence and discipline – qualities that are necessary to thrive in any career. … Students also have the chance to participate in projects, taking charge of programs in the school and community.

Students who were part of a JROTC unit were less likely to drop out of high school and attended classes more frequently. JROTC cadets have a stronger sense of community and pursued military careers through ROTC scholarships and service academies. JROTC is also seen in a favorable light by college admissions counselors.

Black Widow Review

Finally after waiting and waiting and waiting, it’s finally here. Marvel knows us fans very well, we like action, drama and history, that same formula is seen in all its MCU movies and black widow is no exception. To begin with, black widow was originally going to be released two years ago, but because of the covid-19 we did not get to see it that same year and that takes away more impact than the film would have caused in theaters, in addition to making a film someone was already dead (Not bad but it feels strange) and especially that it has not been released on the intended date, but that does not mean that it is bad, on the contrary it is very good and that is why in this review I have given it 4 stars , the reason: the story has a lot of intrigue and it keeps you on the screen at all times, there are new great characters and among them the red guardian (FOR ME) is the most brilliant and recognizable extra of the film played by the great David Harbor. Something that I loved about the film is the fight in the air, in fact it is my favorite of the whole film and the CGI (special effects) never disappoints in a Marvel movie, in addition to having a great villain. In conclusion Black Widow is a very good, funny and very shocking movie. Fun fact: The director of Black Widow (Cate Short) admitted that this was her first action movie and I think it turned out amazingly  well. This movie definitely is banger and worth my 2 hours. I feel surprised by some people who are saying they did taskmaster dirty and action felt bland and generic

Overall I think This Movie Is Amazing, worth my time and money

The library has many things to offer to every student at Carter High School; with its many resources, and it’s not all about books. “We offer printing, internet access, study area, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, movies, and conference space.” According to Mrs. Manire, Carter High School Librarian, and the library has many other things to offer such as research project help. Mrs. Manire says, “We’ve got print material, online databases for more current references, the librarian is always available for help and research and to narrow things down.” If you ever need help on certain research projects, the librarian is always an option for help. The library isn’t just a place for books, it’s a place for everyone. Tennis Team: Carter Tennis Team Prepares for this Upcoming Tennis Season

The Carter Tennis team

Ms. Atchley will be coaching the Carter Tennis team beginning in the early portion of the Spring semester.

The Carter Tennis team is just one of the teams we have at Carter and students have the opportunity to join this upcoming Spring semester. Ms. Atchley is the tennis coach and she says, “We have tryouts the second week of February. We will have “open courts” in the fall.” Open courts are pre-season workouts. The Carter Tennis teams welcomes everyone to join, according to Teddi Appleberry, a sophomore who was on the team last year and plans to be on the team this year, “I believe that our school should know that our team consists of people who are brand new and those who have had a couple years of practice. Since it is such a wide range, anyone and everyone is welcome to come join our fun on the court.” It’s good for people to know that they can join no matter who they are.

Some more insight on the team members and practices is listed by Teddi Appleberry and by Ms. Atchley. Teddi  Appleberry states this about team members’ qualities, “In my experience, my teammates have been humorous, and kind. As a team, we always help each other to be better, but we also make practice fun for everyone. No one is excluded, nor are they expected to be perfect. After all, we are a team.” and Ms. Atchley also states this about team members, “Fun, determined, responsible, friendly, positive”. These qualities are all great for an amazing and cooperative team. According to Teddi Appleberry this is what a practice looks like, “Normally during practice, we stretch and run a couple laps for warm ups. After that, we practice our serving, forehands, backhands, and volleying. We also hit some balls from the ball machine, and sometimes play matches against each other. There is also this game that we play called “King of the Court”. This game helps us to better learn the ways of our teammates, when on the court.” Remember practice makes perfect so students wanting to join will endure this kind of practice printed above.

Let’s make this Carter Tennis season a spectacular one, GO HORNETS!!!!

Movie Review

Movie review: The Willoughbys

Director: Kris Pearn

Starring: Alessia Cara, Maya Ruldolph,Terry Crews.

Studio:Netflix animation Bron animation creative wealth media

Release date:April 22, 2020

Can watch it on Netflix and youtube.

The movie The Willoughbys is about four siblings with horribly selfish parents hatch a plan to get rid of them for good and form a perfectly imperfect family of their own. Since the kids were neglected by their parents, the old fashioned kids venture out into the modern world and meet their nanny. While this movie displays the flaws of family, it really supports that no matter how tough things are , don’t give up on your family or yourself. Also i love the animation, it’s gorgeous and all the colors really stood out to me.

I had first thought this movie was some childish movie that didn’t show anything interesting. Well, I have now added this to my favorite list and have introduced it to many friends. It has helped some in hard times with the funny plot along with the dark twists. My overall favorite characters were the twins just because it showed a new type of narrator that i haven’t seen a movie or book use before, I just overall love this movie even if i grow up i still find this movie enjoyable.I had first thought this movie was some childish movie that didn’t show anything interesting. Well, I have now added this to my favorite list and have introduced it to many of my friends. It has helped some in hard times with the funny plot along with the dark twists. My overall favorite characters were the twins just because of their awkwardness and the sweater they shared; and the cat just because it showed a new type of narrator that I haven’t seen a movie or book use before. I just overall love this movie even if I grow up I will still find this movie enjoyable.Incredibly bright, interesting, with a good sense of humor, family cartoon.

Excellent animation and drawing of characters, an interesting plot, and the most important thing is the kindness and teaching of small viewers to kindness and belief in a miracle, because it is so important to believe in the good and help others, treating everyone with kindness. I think the writer could have eased up a little on the display of how the parents treated the kids. It was very harsh and upsetting to see kids get treated like crap but I guess that’s the purpose of the movie. And I feel as if the background and colors could have been just a tad brighter, so it could be more of an eye catcher .

Review: Penguin Bloom

The movie Penguin Bloom is a good movie because it shows how something can affect your life and how you can find a way to work around it. There was a great message about how to live your life to the absolute fullest. It shows heartwarming emotion throughout the entire film. The movie Penguin Bloom is based on a family who lives in Australia and the story of how their lives changed. In the movie the Bloom family was on a vacation when their mom was looking over the balcony, and suddenly fell over. She messed her spinal cord up and became paralyzed. After the accident the family was traumatized and had to change their lives in order to get back to a sense of normality. The mom went through a lot when she had her accident and became depressed because she couldn’t be there for her family like she wanted to. She had to learn how to remake her life the best it can possibly be while being in a wheelchair. One day as her kids and her husband went to the beach, her oldest son stumbled across a magpie that was injured and couldn’t fly. The mom did not like the bird at first and thought it should heal on its own at the beach and not at the house. Penguin, the name of the bird, found its way into the mom’s heart and they inspired each other to heal and make each other happy. Penguin inspired her to come out of the depressive state she was in and taught her how to become happy and do things for her family. She returned the favor to Penguin and slowly made it stronger by helping it practice around the house. Penguin and the mom grew an inseparable bond and inspired each other. The movie opened up memories that they could finally share with someone to finally get it out there and not just built up inside them. The movie showed great animation and organization throughout the show. There was one thing that could have been better about the movie which was how they could have explained how long it took the mom to finally get over her depression state and how the bird really did change it for her instead of just telling us that the bird did have an impact; why did it have the impact? Despite this minor plot hole, the cast did a fantastic job creating the story with their acting. They showed how the story happened and how it touched many lives. This was a good, heartfelt movie that inspires people with the message: no matter what struggles you go through, there is always some type of light that can bring you from that dark spot you are in.

Blinker Usage In School Zones

Blinker dont you think these are important and essential for driving especially in a school zone. People in a zone people/ students drive so stupid nowadays. Before school, during school, and after school. Blinkers in a school zone should be a must do. Not only when you feel like it. A lot can happen by just not using your blinker. You can hit a kid walking ,or bump the back of someone or you can get hit from behind, or you can get a fat ticket since it’s in a school zone. As well as it stops conflict between drivers because everyone’s trying to hurry up and get out of the traffic the least you could do is use your indicators. Overall the issue with a lot of stuff regarding recess and road rage in traffic in the school zone is because of people cutting each other off and not signaling to let them get over or being let through. But you should always use your blinker to avoid being side-swiped, rear ended , crashed into ,hurt, bumped, scratched, or impaled  in any way. Also you can just do it to just be considerate. And you’ll not only help others driving behind you. You’ll also help indicate the driver or pedestrian in front of you. In conclusion overall just use your  blinker you would make an impact on drivers and whoever rides with you.  Blinkers play a big role in the importance of driving a car, like if you have to use them to pass your drivers test don’t you think it’s essential to driving alone on the main roads . All the rules and regulations that go on the test apply on the road at all times because it helps with directions and helps with the flow of traffic and lowers your rates of reckin. Overall just use your blinkers to prevent the safety on the roads in school zones and regular driving.

Different Sections In Band at CHS

Carter High School Band has been progressively more successful throughout the last four years In the band there are different sections depending on instrument. I interviewed Sadie Coffee this year’s band constructor, and I also interviewed  Karter Smiddy , another senior in the band. Both of these ladies play different sections in the band. Karter plays trumpet and mellophone, which is a part of the brass family,  and Sadie plays clarinet, which is a part of the woodwind family. Karter said she would tell upcoming band members “Stay motivated, practice, and step over your boundaries. If you see a piece of music you don’t understand, study it, don’t give up and push yourself to be able to play it. Practice quite literally makes perfect.” Sadie added to that and said “, Never give up even if you’re burning up outside marching, it’ll be all worth it in the end when you get that trophy at competitions. ” Sadie also said,”the hardest part about playing an instrument isn’t getting the sound ,it’s keeping the rhythm and staying in tune with everyone else.” And lastly I asked the girls what’s their favorite memory they’ve shared with the band throughout the years, Sadie says “It was at the Carter and Gibbs game when we performed at halftime and the student section and football team came and danced with us after we won!” And Karter says her favorite memory is “Sophomore year, at the foothills classic competition held at Seymour, we were given the title of grand band champions and placed 1st in everything.” She also had another favorite memory which was” My senior year at the Gibbs game when after the football team won the game, the football team and the student section came over to the band and they got super hype as we played our stand tunes for them. The environment was honestly amazing and we’ve never felt so loved by our school and community.”

Seniors Give Advice to Freshman

Carter high school seniors have a lot to tell Freshman nowadays to help guide them in the right way so that they’ll have a sorta decent four years of High school. They have Many do’s and don’ts such as (Timberlyn Flack) says,” make sure you focus on your grades and don’t get behind on your work. You can stay head strong and have fun at the same time.“ She also includes, “ make friends and get involved as much as you can. It makes some of the stuff you do with different people can make it the highlights of your high school experience. I also spoke with (Damion Daniels) he said he wanted to add to what Timberlyn was talking about getting out there he says” live it up, definitely get out there and have fun” he also said don’t stress yourself out and just relax and everything will play out in the end. I also asked them what were the highlights of their high school year Timberlyn says, “ Cosmo and being with friends” and Damion says, “ going to the girls soccer games and cheering them on and making the opponents  teams parents mad” They both say enjoy it’ll be over before you know it.
