Why Carter High should have a JROTC program

I think Carter high should have  a JROTC class because students  can build skills such as leadership, self-confidence and discipline – qualities that are necessary to thrive in any career. Personal skills are also emphasized: health, nutrition and financial management and I think these would be great qualities for Carter high school.

In a JROTC class, students can build skills such as leadership, self-confidence and discipline – qualities that are necessary to thrive in any career. … Students also have the chance to participate in projects, taking charge of programs in the school and community.

Students who were part of a JROTC unit were less likely to drop out of high school and attended classes more frequently. JROTC cadets have a stronger sense of community and pursued military careers through ROTC scholarships and service academies. JROTC is also seen in a favorable light by college admissions counselors.
