Do you like witchy, mysterious puzzles stories? If so then you’ll definitely enjoy watching WandaVision. Marvel Studios’ Disney+ original, WandaVision dawned upon me as something I just needed to watch because I wanted to know more about Marvel characters, Wanda and Vision, and every Friday when a new episode would release, I would be so excited to get home and piece together more of the puzzle. When the puzzle was finally pieced together, the whole show just made so much sense, and the whole experience just felt so otherworldly for me and it was very highly enjoyable to watch.
WandaVision is created by Marvel Studios and is a Disney+ original series that starts the beginning of more Disney+ original Marvel Studios’ shows that will link together in upcoming Marvel movies. The plotline takes place right after Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame. WandaVision grabbed a whole bunch of attention to Marvel, dragging more fans into the already large fan base.
WandaVision begins with Wanda and Vision arriving as newlywed super-powered beings, in a perfect, little, 1950s-1960s sitcom-like neighborhood with well-mannered neighbors, almost like actors, who communicate with each other and their community. But time periods change almost every day, while evil and greed seep closer and closer to destroy their perfect reality together.
There are many reasons why it is such a good show, but I think its focus on family sends a strong message about why family is important and the sacrifices that come along with having a family. In WandaVision, Wanda and Vision create a little family together, and throughout the whole show she has a strong protective side in protecting Vision, and her two sons Billy and Tommy, and most importantly their perfect reality together. Also, a notable character is Monica Rambeau, she is a S.W.O.R.D agent who kind of ditches the S.W.O.R.D assignment to help Wanda because she knows why Wanda let her into Wanda’s reality, and she wants to help her because she knows what it’s like to lose family and not be able to bring them back. I think a lot of people need to hear this message because tons of people deal with the loss of family at some point in their life.
My final thoughts on this topic are that WandaVision is one of the best shows I’ve watched so far and I highly recommend it to everyone, especially Marvel fans. It is a bit of a difficult puzzle to piece together if you’re not good at piecing clues together or you are not a Marvel fan, but this show is a 10 out of 10 in my opinion, it is also very enjoyable and fun to watch with loved ones.
