Soaky Mountain Waterpark is the newest aquatic attraction in Sevierville. Built in 2020, this 90 million dollar project covers 50 acres, and is adjacent to “Wilderness at the Smokies” (WATS). Soaky Mountain is also owned by WATS. I have visited Soaky Mountain multiple times throughout this summer. A one day ticket is $40 per person, or a season pass is $90 per person. This waterpark is very fun, and they have things for families of all ages. They have slides with large thrills, medium thrills, and small slides for the little ones. They also have the best lazy river I have ever seen, and a wave pool with very large waves. Soaky Mountain also serves very good food and desserts at different spots throughout the park. Although this food is good, it is a bit overpriced. The attractions were all very fun, but the most important thing is safety. All of the lifeguards constantly watch the water, and make sure no one is drowning. All of the staff ensures safety is the number one priority. The staff also know what they are doing. Anytime I have a question, the staff always knows where something is, how something works, etc. However, another problem I have run into is rain delays. Every waterpark has different policies when it comes to rain delays. Rain happens, and Soaky needs to make it clear that they give no refunds for rain delays. The rule used to be if the park was closed for 90+ minutes, they closed for the day, and gave rain checks. However, the rule apparently changed, and they no longer give rain checks for rain delays at all. The attractions were great, and the food was good, with hard working staff, but there are a few things that they can do to make it better. This is a new waterpark, so they still have time to work these things out. 4 out of 5 stars.
