Imagine getting on the school bus at seven in the morning and realizing that there’s barely any space to sit, let alone move around. In some cases, people even have to stand or sit three to a seat. Situations like these are a horrible way to start the day and make people irritable.

Many students report having experienced crowded bus rides. Regulations are set to prevent situations like these, however, heedless passengers and lax supervision cause the issue to persist. 

The state says that high schoolers should sit with around eighteen inches of width each. I argue that this specific number doesn’t accommodate students well enough; people’s needs vary. The state also says that the aisle should never be blocked. However, this rule is commonly broken because seats are often cramped. Wheel seats are notorious for being uncomfortable, especially for larger students. People should at least have enough space to sit without their legs and shoulders touching. Some may even lay in seats which makes the issue ten times worse. When you have so many people sitting so tightly packed, air quality declines, temperatures rise, odors intensify, and sickness transmits easier. I remember in seventh grade, I had to sit with three other people in one seat. Even then, the entire aisle was still blocked, full of people standing because they had no choice. Not to mention, just recently on September 16th, some 173 riders had to get onto bus 163. This led to several high schoolers having to sit three to a seat, which blocked aisles and left many feeling claustrophobic.

Not only are these situations uncomfortable, they can also be dangerous. If there is ever a sudden stop or accident, overcrowding will reduce the protective benefits of the bus’s design; students can slam into each other, fly out of seats, and in the event of an evacuation, exits will be impeded. It’s also important to mention that students can get irritable which creates more conflict between others. Bus drivers already deal with enough distractions; when there’s so many people, those distractions are amplified times two.

People say that the bus is a privilege. I agree: by definition, it is. I also understand that by labeling it a right rather than a privilege, disruptive passengers would not face the same consequences to their actions. However, to the behaved student, there is a double standard. You have to go to school; if you don’t, you face truancy repercussions. Because of this, you have no choice but to ride the bus. You follow the rules, not acting out or anything, but are still provided with an uncomfortable ride.

School buses are a great thing, but overcrowding is a common issue that makes it feel like more of a burden than a privilege. 

Imagine a quiet street suddenly becoming a place of danger. The end of Oak Street brings dinosaurs,action and suspense altogether in exciting adventures overall, then the movie is an entertaining thrilling ride that keeps the viewers entertained from beginning to the end of the movie.  The End of Oak Street is a movie about a family that is misunderstood and is mysteriously transported to a strange place  where dinosaurs live. The family has to work together to survive while also trying to understand what happened to their neighborhood. They face dangerous dinosaurs and other challenges across the way. The movie focused  on survival, family ,teamwork and trying to find another way home.  The End of Oak Street was written and directed by david robert michell  who is also known for the movie startanne hathway as dennise platt and edward macgregor  as greg platt. The children audrey and brian were played by maisy stella and christian convery. The movie takes place in the 1980s and conveys a suburban family history with science fiction dinosaurs. It was released in theaters on August 14 2026 by Warner Brothers. The movie follows people trying to survive while dealing with dangerous dinosaurs. They face different challenges and must figure out a strategy to stay safe. The dinosaur scenes,action, and suspense make the movie exciting  and the movie is really entertaining.  Some of the reasons that I find it entertaining are that  the movie has a mix of thrill,emotion,and adventures. And also that some of the scenes make the characters also keep you interested in what will happen next. Some parts are kinda predictable, and  a few scenes feel slow. And that makes the movie less exciting at times. Overall, The End of Oak Street is an exciting dinosaur movie with action, suspense and adventure. It is a fun movie for people who enjoy dinosaurs and thrilling stories. And the story follows with mistress and thrilling stories. It is the kind of movie that still keeps you wanting to continue  to watch it 

What if the character you thought was harmless turned out to be the most disturbing part of the movie? At first, Buddy seems like a normal movie about kids and a unicorn, but things quickly become strange when Buddy doesn’t get what he wants. This movie is a good horror movie because it is strange, darkly funny, disturbing, and unpredictable. The movie ¨Buddy¨ is a movie that is kind of strange, at first you think it´s an innocent movie about kids and the unicorn but then it gets disturbing, it´s a good horror movie because it is unpredictable. Buddy is a strange, creepy, and a funny horror movie that keeps the audience guessing, although some parts feel rushed and unfinished. A child named Josh refuses to dance with Buddy so Buddy kills him and replaces him with a new kid. Freddy found Josh´s book that was covered in blood and she realizes that Buddy has been lying and is dangerous, she teams up with Wade and her talking backpack to find out how Buddy actually is. In the real world a mother has glitched memories and realizes her family is connected to missing children, her daughter is Freddy. Buddy is a 2026 horror-comedy directed and co-written by Casper Kelly, he is known for creating strange and surreal comedy, including Adult Swim Short and Too Many Cooks. In Buddy, he takes the style of 1990s children’s television and turns it into a dark and disturbing horror story. The movie shows children trapped inside the world of a fictional kids T v show starring Buddy, a bright orange unicorn who becomes dangerous when the children refuse to follow his rules. One of the strongest parts of Buddy is how unpredictable it is. The audience might think they know where the story is going but the movie shows unexpected events. The movie also does a good job of combining humor with horror. Some moments are strange and funny while others are disturbing which gives the movie a different turn. Buddy is also an interesting character because him being colorful and friendly makes his behavior more disturbing. One negative thing I can say is that some parts of the movie feel rushed or uninfished, it moves from one subject to another so quickly that some parts of the movie don’t make sense. My overall judgment of the Buddy movie is that it´s a good movie for people that like horror movies to get straight to the point, and a movie that isn´t predictable or to guess what is going to happen. This movie does feel rushed because how fast it moves onto a different subject so fast so I rate the movie a three out of five 

The Magic Faraway Tree is a colorful live-action movie based on Enid Blyton’s classic books that blends fun fantasy with a personal family story. Directed by Ben Gregor and written by Simon Farnaby, the 2026 fantasy film stars Claire Foy as Polly and Andrew Garfield as Tim. The movie follows a family who moves from the city to the countryside. While the parents try to launch a new family business and help their children spend less time on their screens, the kids stumble upon a gigantic enchanted tree filled with bizarre characters like Moonface (Nonso Anozie) and Silky the fairy (Nicola Coughlan). The tree is discovered to be a portal to vibrant worlds, taking them to different realms like the Land of Goodies and the Land of Birthdays. However, magical missteps eventually lead them to cross paths with the stern Dame Snap (Rebecca Ferguson).

The movie has bright costumes and creative sets that make the magical world feel fun and exciting. Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy do a good job playing the parents, and the other actors make the magical characters very fun and entertaining. Some viewers may say that the movie is focusing heavily on screen addiction and family business stress which could be a bit slow during the non-magical stretches. But Overall, The Magic Faraway Tree is a fun fantasy movie with adventure, humor, and an overall message about stepping away from distractions and reconnecting with loved ones.

Some people might have watched Practical Magic in the 90’s and after almost three decades, the Owens sisters are back, once again casting spells of love and mystery. But this time it is not just a family saga, it is a new chapter in the life of Sally and Gillian Owens.From the first few seconds of film, Practical Magic 2 draws viewers into a world of intrigue, romance, and witchcraft. This sequel is a movie that keeps you wanting to see what happens next.

Practical Magic 2 tells the story of sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, who have to address a new challenge tied to their family magic. The sisters must work together to confront a curse that puts their family in danger. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return as Sally and Gilllian, while Joey King, Maisie Williams, and Lee Pace join them in new roles. The movie continues the story from the 1998 film Practical Magic, which eventually became a cult classic. Susanne Brier directs the film, which is based on Alice Hoffman’s book The Book of Magic. The sequel stars many of the original cast members, including Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing, and was released in September 2026.

I saw a variety of positive and negative reviews about Practical Magic 2. The film received mostly positive feedback from critics. The chemistry between Bullock and Kidman, who play the leading roles of Sally and Gillian Owens, is a major strength of the film. The magical elements also make the movie mysterious and exciting, while the family focused story gives it an emotional side. Some critics also highlighted the chemistry between the returning stars and the movie‘s focus on family and sisterhood.

However, I also noticed a number of negative comments, most of which were concerned with the film’s length and complexity of the plot. Besides, some reviewers think the film tries too hard to recreate the magic of its predecessor.I would describe Practical Magic 2 with the help of such words as magical, mysterious, enchanting,heartwarming, entertaining, intriguing, and captivating, Although some parts of the film may seem too long or confusing for people like me who haven’t seen the first movie. Although, the movie has many positive qualities that make it worth watching. I have watched Practical Magic 2 and would definitely recommend it because it is a very special experience with a blend of family-friendly fantasy and drama.

Spiderman- Brand New Day picks up four years after the events of No Way Home, following an isolated Peter Parker (Tom Holland) as he works full-time as an anonymous street- level hero. Peter Parker’s ultimate sacrifice at the end of No Way Home, was that a spell made the entire world forget his existence. Peter is completely alone in New York City, friends like Ned and MJ along with the rest of the world no longer remember who he is. He has no benefactors, no Stark Tech safety nets,  and no Avengers to help him. Aunt May is dead, and Peter must navigate his normal life, poverty, and without sharing his pain with anyone. Spiderman- Brand New Day is a very entertaining movie with a lot of twists and turns but overall an amazing movie. He is dedicated to saving his city even though everyone has lost all memory of him, people may agree that with him losing his friends due to the fact he let everyone’s memory loss affect him, and take a mental toll on himself forgetting all his friends that he shouldn’t  have let everyone forget about him. Brian reviewed Spiderman Brand New Day on Rotten Tomatoes and stated  “Finally a Spider-Man movie that feels like a Spider-Man Movie. Tom did an amazing job in this film, it’s funny, the plot is both fun and thrilling. The suit looks amazing especially in action scenes and during swinging. The story is great. I love the dynamic between Peter Ned and MJ. Exciting cameos and it all fits together perfectly. My new favorite Spider-Man Movie hands down!”. Peter Parker swings through a familiar Manhattan that now feels like a stranger city, caught between the thrill of a fresh start and the hollow ache of forgotten memories. He performs his duties as the one and only Spiderman that saves his city with renewed precision by starting fresh after losing everyone he loved, yet the new life leaves him feeling like a ghost in his own body / mask. His current peace was brought at a price he cannot fully remember. Brand New Day follows Peter Parker navigating a reality where his secret identity is once again hidden and his past relationship with MJ has been erased from existence. Even though everyone has forgotten about him he still tries to save his city with no help. He lost who he was as a person and is alone due to the fact he let everyone just forget about him because he couldn’t remember his true self. Overall, Spiderman- Brand New Day is an amazing movie. People may differ if they don’t understand the backstory of this movie.

Football is one of the most popular sports in America, and even journalist H.G. Bissinger could not resist its allure, dedicating his first book, Friday Night Lights, to it. Traveling to the barren town of Odessa, Texas, he documented Permian High School’s football team, the Permian Panthers, during their ‘88 season. After publication, he faced a swarm of seething Odessans, for the town found out he wrote an expose detailing the rampant corruption within their beloved football team; Bissinger’s gutsy declaration is what makes the book invaluable. Using opinion, history, and objectivity, he crafted a literary piece that critiques football’s societal influence.

The book’s plot advances through the Panthers’ games, until they play against the Carter Cowboys during the playoffs, where the story concludes. Bissinger shines in writing the time between games, where he elaborates on Odessa’s history and its deadly obsession with football, shown through abuse towards football players and citizens alike. Bissinger’s colorful figurative language is his only tactic to persuade the audience of football’s negativities: he mainly portrays objective evidence and documents the opinion of citizens to create a nuanced portrayal of football. His interviews even extend to abusers in Odessa, who are all connected to football, portraying that football’s influence on the community, rather than the physical sport, has created Odessa’s corruption. He even travels back to Odessa years later in an epilogue to interview past football players, which proves football’s detrimental effects: originally treated as gods in their youth, the players have grown into depressed men that push their sons into the same sport that ruined them. At the main story’s conclusion, Bissinger implores the nation of America to reconsider how much it should allow football to influence the country. When he later revisits this idea in the epilogue and describes how nothing has been done to mitigate football’s impacts, he leaves the audience inspired to try and make a change within their own community. The reactions his words created serve as a testament to how effective he is as an author, and Friday Night Lights is a wonderful endeavor to change an entrenched societal issue.

While the book’s message is impeccable, Bissinger’s execution is lacking in two minor aspects. Firstly, he assumes the audience understands the technicalities of a football game, making it confusing to follow without adequate background knowledge. Secondly, some of his context is so extensive it becomes convoluted, requiring the audience to re-read multiple sections of his text.

Though a commitment to read, Friday Night Lights is a great book that exposes the toxic mindset of football that is still applicable to modern day.

The background for the cookies is that we ordered them from SYSCO and they are Otis Spunkmeyer. DECA club has been selling this brand of cookies for over 30 years to raise funds to support the club’s activities. While these golden-brown cookies deliver a delightfully warm,crispy edge and a chewy center,their overly crumbly texture makes eating them a messy experience.The edges have a satisfying, golden-brown crispiness while the center stays soft and chewy, they taste best right of the oven while the chocolate chips are melted, they break apart easily,while difficult to hold without making a mess. Even though cookies are incredibly messy,and fall apart, their rich flavor and comforting to make but the cleanup is the hardest part. Ultimately, the stinger station cookies are the absolute best snack option at Carter High School  because they are affordable, always served soft,and provide the perfect afternoon energy boost. In the Carter High School  stinger station we bake cookies during lunch, sell them for one dollar each and the CDC classes come bake cookies for the first round of cookies for the first lunch. The stinger station at Carter High School in Strawberry Plains/Knoxville tn. Stinger station provides mozzarella sticks, pretzels on Tuesdays and Thursdays and even merchandise to students,teachers,and even parents. They are served fresh and often still warm, the center is perfectly soft and chewy, it is a perfect dessert from stinger station and then here comes the bad review on cookies and they get very messy with chocolate when they melt into your hands, they are very crumbly. They sell the most at stinger station. If a hornet student has not tried, there are cookies from stinger station with different flavors and they are: chocolate chip, strawberry shortcake, macadamia cookie.  

As the new semester begins, many students are starting the school year with a strong sense of confidence and excitement. Although the beginning of a new school year brings unexpected challenges and stress like a larger school, a larger work load, and higher expectations from their teachers, students across the school have expressed positive attitudes about what this semester will bring. 

Two freshmen in particular, Joslyn Davis and Audrey Fields, shared their thoughts about starting their first year of high school. Audrey stated “It has been stressful getting used to the bigger school and the larger work loads that are being given, middle school is very different from high school.” 

Joslyn had a similar response “I feel confident in the start of this school year but I think it will be somewhat challenging juggling sports and academics.” she stated, while also expressing her excitement about “Being involved in sports and the carter community”

Despite the nervousness Joslyn and Audrey said they are excited about the opportunities this school year will offer. For instance Audrey said “I’m excited for football games and all the clubs Carter has to offer.” They both expressed feeling confident in their ability to quickly adjust to high school and make the best of their experiences.

Their excitement reflects the attitude of many students beginning the semester, nervous about the unknown, but confident that they are prepared to face the challenges that await.
