Some students may wonder what teachers do after school. Some might say they just plan the next day’s assignments. While that may be true teachers also do other things.
Mr. Koh, a math teacher at Carter High school, has a quite busy afternoon. He has a farm and takes care of it every afternoon. His wife is also ill and needs care. Mr. Koh says “ when I get home I check on my wife and make sure she’s doing ok. I then go check on my farm and do all the chores needed for that.” Mr Koh also stated that he also grades papers and creates new assignments after he finishes everything else he needs to do.
However, Dr. Ufnar, a chemistry and engineering teacher at Carter High School, says “ I mostly just go home and grade papers while I relax and watch TV.” Dr. Ufnar grades papers for 2 different subjects since he teaches engineering and science. Dr. Ufnar doesn’t have an as busy afternoon like Mr. Koh does though.
Both these teachers have a very different afternoon; Mr. Koh has a lot more things to do on a daily basis whereas Dr. Ufnar just mostly lays back after a hard day of work.
