Carter Corner

Carter Corner Store is a convenience store specified for Carter. It’s located on the right corner in the main hallway, coming in from the freshman academy. The Carter Corner sells all types of things, from snacks to drinks to slushies and basic school supplies to cups and shirts. The teacher Ms. Wilson, who directs the store, informed us the store started the 2017-2018 school year. When asked what the best learning experience students got out of working in the store was, she replied “having real hands on experience with doing stock and handling money and keeping track of what’s selling and what’s not and stuff like that.” The store is run by students who are in the Marketing 2 class. It is open during all lunch periods and all of third period. On Thursdays and Fridays you can also buy football game tickets for Carter’s home games. The Carter Corner is great for you need another extra snack besides the school lunch or you’d like something that isn’t in the vending machines to drink, or maybe you’d like to buy a tshirt to show some Carter spirit, or you left your backpack at home and your in need of pencil and some paper. The store has been a way to make the school day easier in many ways for some students, espicially for students who come in early or spend time here, after school hours for clubs or activities. The Carter store is something that is unique to our school and we are grateful to have.
