With the boys basketball team going for their 4th district title in a row this year, the pressure is on. This year they basically started with a new team since some of the players are all new to varsity One of Carter’s star senior players Brycen Mckeehan says, “I think the more we play together the more we will gel together. One game doesn’t define who we are as a team. Like I said the more we play the more trust we build and start playing like a championship team like we have been. I think other teams will have to look out for us when it all starts to click. We don’t have any expectations short of another championship and making it through the region.” Now having a whole new team this year, only a few things to take advantage of Brycen says “Just execute plays and take care of the ball. When we have less turnover that means more shots and more shots mean more points. Then we have to sit down and guard all 5 with all 5 on defense and don’t let the offense get 2nd chance points. If we sit and guard and take care of the ball on offense then we will win ball games.” Brycen is the shooting guard on the team, and he believes in his team and believes they can do anything they put their mind to.
