If you’re into demonic possessions or supernatural dramas, Evil is just right up your alley. Evil is a TV show with just 1 season and 13 episodes; it was originally aired on CBS and was released on Netflix in 2019. In each episode there’s different demons, prophecies, serial killers, multiple exorcisms, many psychopaths and more that this forensic psychologist and catholic priest-in-training face. Somehow all these different threats connect together in some weird paranormal way. This show has a lot of violence and religion twisting aspects to it, so if you’re not open-minded to that kind of activity then Evil isn’t the kind of show you would enjoy. The writer and director take the time to make sure that the emotional repercussions linger and build on each other. However, what happens with the in-the-moment stuff is sometimes active for both characters and audience. Evil is a weird show with visions, dreams, and fantasies being told to you but you never quite know whats real, and it does that without making the viewers question the show. This show can be genuinely disturbing at times, the visuals and makeup for the suspected possessions, fever dreams, and demonic manifestations is definitely not for audiences with a sensitive disposition. Although season 2 has not yet been given the green light by CBS, it’s truly a unique show and worth the watch.
