Paying $1.75 for water is ridiculous. All bottled drinks in the Carter High vending machines have gone up 50 cents. When the Carter store’s(right across from the vending machines)prices are at reasonable prices($1 for a yoohoo), there is no reason to raise only the drink prices for the vending machines. Last year at Carter High School, the drink prices were already $1.25(which is ridiculous enough), but raising them 50 cents is just insane. Just because there’s a water fountain doesn’t mean it’s as good as the vending machines; the water isn’t even cold. The Carter store doesn’t even open until lunch; the vending machines are definitely taking advantage of the students! In my opinion, Carter High School should try and get these prices changed.
